Not sure if this is an antique, but vintage for sure. Maybe Italian? Seems to be plaster.

Sorry I just have a partial pic of the back but you get the idea. Approx 10 x 7.

    Some wear here and there.

Is this a scene from something? Also with the "wear" thinking of selling it for $20 to a local sale... I'm not terribly underselling this, am I?

Thank you for spelling it the right way. We recently had a "plague of plaques."

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Lucille, has yours got a 'boobie' and knee scrape or just camera reflections?? She looks nice with that patina!

Yes, those are wear marks. Not rough like a chip, but the paint or finish is worn in both those spots, and other places as well. In a strange way the patina kind of "works" to make it look ancient. Not sure everyone would agree it is a plus, lol.

I'm thinking Venus and Cupid, but wait for @Bronwen ...

I don't offhand recognize the scenes as being from some other work, but the lady's undraped bosom suggests she is Venus (as Jivvy put in while I was distracted elsewhere) taking her ease, her son Cupid nearby. Despite their resemblance to dragonflies, the little critters in Lucille's are probably meant to be butterflies, with Cupid chasing after them, an allusion to the story of Cupid & Psyche. I think $20 would be about right. :)
