(@Michael77 : I wrote this response before I checked to see what your first post was and who the first responders were. :bag::hilarious: )

Plus, it's not always just lack of tone. Some of us ARE harsh and curt... and irritable and sarcastic and lovely and funny and kind and every other descriptor that can be imagined.

WOW! I've read his previous postings - some good, some condescending for sure - All I can think of is the term: "You Reap What You Sow" .

To sum up, the New Member who started this thread, has had some threads with bad photos, offered vague background and was insulting when some members STILL tried to help.
Disclaimer-Of course, that is just my opinion. :hilarious:

Ah, thanks for the summary, INH. Wow.

This thread is so out of character for our beloved Antiquers home...

My opinion must be shared by others, as well, since it is unusual for a new member to get “an infraction” and have several posts deleted.

One could compare his postings with DSS on the eBay antique forums.

The only differences are, DSS is from California and could report our replies , this one is from Denmark and does not get a chance to report anyone:smuggrin:

If he keeps up this charade then he may have to post elsewhere.

Gosh, I have found this group to be extraordinarily kind and patient with my questions. I am a self-proclaimed ignorant person in so many areas of antiques and collectibles. Some of my questions have, in retrospect, been downright stupid on my part - part of the learning process. So many people that are very willing to help and point you in the right direction. And, so much variety in the knowledge within this group. Life is too short to play in a sandbox you aren't happy in.....

    I just penned an oxymoron:
“I am Proud to be Humble”
    :)

One could and may have. :hilarious:

But thank you for letting us know that they are different people.

    It is oddly comforting.

The fact that there are two similar bullies on antiques forums?:playful:

    I guess there are more.:troll::(

No no, that it's not DSS . There is no hope for DSS.

I have hope that others can realize their wrong-footedness and adapt to the forum's way of interacting.

Or decide the forum is not worth it and leave.

DSS would never do either of those things.

(Of course, this board's administration would never allow DSS to do here what he did on ebay.)

I adore this forum. I have learned so much from the wonderful posters here, and it has helped me endure a resurgence of depression this last year. It stuns me how much I have learned, and how, two years ago when I was going to the same flea markets I'm going to now, I found nothing close to what I find this time. The antiques were surely there, but my knowledge was not!

I'm amazed. I worked a very short while in Denmark and found them very helpful and friendly.

I must say, my many dealings with the Danish, both here and in Denmark, business and pleasure, have always been fantastic. Laid back, great sense of humour. In short, everything this one is not.

    Hi,
I have been friends with Danes since the 1960s. Over 21 trips there, NEVER ever had a bad experience there without Danes or with. It is only three places in the world were I would consider living in. It would be the only other place I would live in except I would have to learn Danish.
