Silver locket

    Hi Diane, and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!!! What is the size and can you post an image of the front/back? And, please, while you're at it, FIRST...you can add it to your original image.....but if you'd also click on the very TOP thumbnail that says "post every image FULL SIZE".....a lot of members use cell phones..... it's much easier for them to see full size images!!     Marked sterling and maker's mark,I see nothing missing.

    Welcome Diane.
    Marks differs from one country to another. Many countries don't have officially controlled marks like assay marks.
    I think you are British, and used to a full set of marks, including assay mark. Holly is from the US, so to her 'sterling', or an abbreviation or fineness mark, and a letter as a maker's mark are according to requirements.
    If you bought this in Britain, it could have been imported at some stage.
