Considering what her stuff cost$ new, that's a score!

 

I was not familiar with Judith Jack but I loved the marcasite on both these sets of earrings. Looks like they make a lot of items with throwback to those dear jewelry trends.

 

Just did after seeing the note here. I didn't get a notification. Looks like we have a winner!

 

Went looking for a small sugar spoon at my favorite antiques and junk store. Went to the junk section and immediately saw the art nouveau-ish
fake bronze and patina resin mother and daughter figurine (20cm High)
at $2 so grabbed it. Figured that was easily sell-able
and it turned out to have a tiny mark on the back - "Veronese C2008".
Then I spotted the wheelbarrow boy (15cm High) with his
"whatcha lookin at" look on his face and couldn't resist so another $8 came
out of the wallet. It's marked "Japan" but not sure how old he is as the
feet are not terribly dirty. Finally found a $1 spoon dating 1884+ by Maxfield and sons Sheffield that did what I wanted. Interesting $11 spent.

 

@evelyb30 A wee bit of MAgic Eraser brings jasperware up very nicely.

Today's bits. A Victorian silver mourning or keepsake brooch which someone turned into a pendant long ago. (I used silver dip. It was black, or I'd not have done.)

And an unsual amethyst and silver bracelet. @Any Jewelry - where do you reckon it was born?

 

Two beauties, obb.

It almost looks Indonesian, doesn't it? But Indonesia marks with the fineness number. Maybe one of the neighbours, Philippines or Malaysia? It is gorgeous, and I love the quirky S.

 

The construction is really unusual, and very well made. It's sort of filigree but not!

 

I agree, lovely detail and well made. It reminds me of some jewellery from Sumatra, but the mark is different. That's why I thought maybe one of the neighbours.

 

Beautiful, Bear. I have been known to use Tarnex on occasion, very carefully. I count to three, done.

 

I counted to about one and a half.

AJ, it's going in The Hoard. I like it a lot. The two of them cost me roughly sixteen dollars.

 

Bargain. It is a very special design, I think, fit for The Hoard. A delicate look without being fragile. And that vivid amethyst with silver always works well.

 

Today’s random find:

A pair of small tables. The tops are completely separated from the bottoms no idea if they are original to the bases but they fit well and look the part.

The underside of the tops says “MDC” and the bases have this little red label and another engraved mark that says “Victorian” I think. This requires some digging as I know next to nothing about furniture or mahogany.

They look to need a good cleaning but I’m excited for their possibilities.

 

Todays haul. Once a stuff miner, always a stuff miner.

 

The dish is silver,14 oz, 10 euros. Bought at 2 in the afternoon after hoards of people had been around. I often find my best buys seem to be in the afternoon.

Bought this for the sole reason of finding out about it. Plique a jour, 5 inches high.

 

Base. Found out it is worth about what I paid, 10 euros, but from a charity stall.
