Hello all of you fabulous and knowledgeable people! I actually joined this site about three years ago but life got in the way of my being able to be an active participant. At the time I was working full time and taking care of my elderly Dad and two dogs. Well, Dad and my beloved fur babies are gone and I retired about four months ago. My current interest is vintage jewelry which I am hoping to re-sell on line as a hobby for a small profit. Many years ago I sold vintage glassware especially depression glass and kitchenware from that era which I still love but the inventory storage is a lot easier with the jewelry. And from my hoard there are pieces that need questions answered so I will be looking for some of your kindly assistance. I have many jewelry reference books so I might even be able to help someone sometime. One can only hope. Although I haven't been participating, I have certainly kept up with reading about all the wonderful finds and seeing the mysterious items identified. Love reading the furniture forum! Anyway, I'm glad to find my membership didn't expire and hope to join the conversations when I have something worthwhile to add. Thank you one and all for the welcome back. Johnny-My Dad was 92 so he had a good long life. And so did my babies, one was 16 years old and my baby Damien shown in my Avatar was over 14. I miss them but I know they had good long lives as well. Thank you for your sympathy.
