    Well, I'll be doggone... on an impulse, I Googled OUINTAL, and it *IS* a surname, maybe Irish? There was a Sian Ouintal and a Mildred...
    Whaddya know? Didn't find any F Ouintal, though.

    I really think it's Quintal with a Q not an O. There was a Quintal's ice cream stand around here for years.
