, the reason for this threat is that I got this sealed bottle with a sign in the back, with what i think is bones embedded in the front, I don’t know if it is brass or any other material it

Your English is fine, Emmanuel. To my eye, it appears to be what is called a Moroccan gun powder flask, probably new but made to look old. Here's something similar with coin decoration instead of bone. But let's see what others have to say.

Emmanuel, is the above the information you need? Of do you have additional questions about this piece?

Could well be Berber. The Berber tribes are well known for using Camel bone in their items and the white inlays certainly look like Camel bone to me as they appear slightly yellow rather than white. I have a Berber box with similar mix of metal and bone.

Welcome, Emmanuel. Your English is fine, don't worry.

I agree, it is a Berber powder flask. The pieces of bone could be dyed goat or sheep bone, as well as camel. I think the first two are more likely in this case.

Camel bone is white, but it can be dyed or bleached just like any other kind of bone.
Poets liken their lover's white teeth to camel bone, which is a compliment. They wouldn't do that with yellow bone.;)
Camel bone is also very dense, and considered the best bone for fine artwork like painting or engraving. Bone artists are proud to show the perfection of the bone to prove it is real camel bone, and not another type passed off as camel, as often happens in the souvenir industry.
The photo doesn't convince me it is camel, especially the top piece.

Persian miniature by a member of the Fotowat family, painted on camel bone, about the size of a credit card:

Very interesting. Thanks Any Jewelry. Every camel boned item I have seen has been yellow but perhaps they weren’t camel at all! Perhaps my box is sheep bone then or....(deep breath)....dyed goat (shudders). Can’t stand goats or any products related to goat.

Although I haven't seen yours, I am absolutely certain it is not goat bone. Absolutely, 100%, couldn't be more certain!:playful:

That’s a relief. There’s something deeply disturbing about goats. I think it starts with the weird eyes and then ends with them looking like a wizened old gentlemen with a beard, horns and trotters. How can anyone eat cheese from that?

    Hi,
If you want a weird item to eat, try goats milk fudge. Used to buy it at stands along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Have not seen it since the 1950s.
