Ideas on who made this pottery mug?

    I had some similar that were 70s taiwan.

    They make them with coffee grounds.

    My first guess would be Otagiri. Made in Japan.
    I haven't checked for quite a while, but some of their stuff used to be quite in demand.

    That was my thought as well.
    Otagiri was an import company. Not sure if they did their own manufacturing.

    I would date it to the early - mid 70s

    Thanks all--let me ask, did Otagiri just slap on a label that may have peeled off of mine?

    So glad you linked that. I have seen that label on many items at auctions and wondered what company it was. Looks like on certain O. mugs still command the higher prices, BTW. Thank you all!
