Lacquer dish

    Beat up but I’m just curious about it. Came from the Italian estate I took home a bunch of stuff from. I think Japan or Asia in general when I think lacquer. Wasn’t sure if the grape leaf? motif had an Asian look to it. I think they did use grape leaf decoration sometimes but wasn’t sure if lacquered pieces like this were commonly made in Europe at any time? I’ve assumed it’s late 19th or earlier 20th? About 4” across and under 2” high. Maybe had a lid at some point.
