    Hello Again,

    Hope all is well!

Was wondering if anyone could help me ID this photographer!

"Thomas Photo" is on the front of the image, however the back is heavily rubbed.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Trying to nail down a location! :) IMG_5435.JPG IMG_5437.JPG

Someplace with a pile of birch trees and deer. Those look like deer hides they're drying. If so, Montana? Wyoming?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Too bad that the left side of the back stamp is the part that was heavily rubbed! All of the crucial information was there. I don't have ideas except similar to what evelyb30 is suggesting.

I did find a "Thomas Photo Studio" in Wisconsin. Could this be Wisconsin?

I also found a note that the Thomas Studio Company opened in Chicago in 1892 and from an 1893 Macon, Missouri newspaper: "...although he has only been established in Bevier something over one year..."Thomas Photo Studio" is one of the finest, and best equipped in this vicinity and the superiority explains his rapidly growing business..."

I also see on the back "Portraits a specialty."

I just noticed there is a period after "PHOTO." on your image, so it may have been Thomas Photography, or something similar.

Wisconsin fits too - someplace birch trees like with a pile of deer. Connecticut is lousy with deer these days, but we don't have the birch trees. Or nearly enough hunky guys....
