Ok, so my Sister-in-law gave us two boxes of stuff yesterday, that belonged to my Mother-in-Law. I have no clue what to do with it all. I've thought about selling on my Etsy site, but I really don't think they're worth anything since they're all in poor condition. And I'm afraid the seller would have to pay more shipping than what they're worth! Can anyone tell me if these are worth selling? I really hate to throw antiques away, but I'm coming close! lol

Or.....any restoration/cleaning tips?? What should I do with these?? HELP!

What a kind & generous SIL you have. . .NOT :D

I really think the only value was the sentimental worth your MIL had for them.

I have had success in a B&M store selling "much loved" old/antique stuffed animals. The cloth and knitted dolls, not so much. To properly clean the cloth dolls would probably require immersing them in water, causing the filling to shift. The stuffed teddy, elephants and little duck may benefit from a gentle brushing to remove mats and surface dirt. I find the stuffed critters you have very cute.

I'd bet that little brown bear was hugged a lot.

They're charming. But careful with the word "antique." These would be considered "vintage."

Jivvy the research is my favorite

I'm guessing early 1960s for age.

Mostly because I have a very very similarly styled elephant.

One time I did something so bad, my mom took him away for two weeks.

I don't remember what I did to deserve such a trial, but I thought I was going to die. :hilarious:
