    I'd have bought those too; the cheap brass ones don't dent, generally. Even if they were plated sterling they'd still be an OK deal at that price.

    I've been over it a few times, and no marks. Any ideas on the age? My mom thought it was pre-WWII; she remembers similar when she was a kid. I think it's post- if not by a lot.

    Maybe Truro, the lack of flat land makes me think so, Truro is hilly. Maybe the Pamet river? Just speculating, Truro is 3 towns north of me :)

    Rant: I'll have to post pictures of those beads I thought were bakelite. Now I don't know what they are. I tried testing them with both baking soda and pink silver polish. No smell at all. Then, since they were filthy, I took them apart and gave them a bath and a scrub with an old toothbrush. Then all I smelled in the really hot water was the dish soap. ...and I found popped bubbles on at least one bead end. Some bakelite colors don't test, but lucite should have smelled like plastic. ????

    Komokwa I'm pretty sure that is Marilyn, she modeled for Earl Moran I have several of these, not this particular one though, it is a Mutoscope card, correct?
