Norwegian Pewter

Hi everybody, good to be back. Whilst away, I was given this Norwegian candle holder, which I've cleaned up. The person who gave it to me had no idea of it's age or anything (it had been a gift about 15 years earlier) It's stamped on the underside with the mark Askvoll Brug A/S. Can anyone help with it's age etc?

Me too, and I'm thinking I might love the table as well from a glimpse of the top

 

(did I mention I'm from Norwegian ancestry on my dad's side?) Pretty much in love with Norway and things Norwegian from the too short visits there also. Though I realize Sepia is in the UK.

 

The dresser is mid to late 18th century and we love it too. It gives my wife the opportunity to display her blue and white china whilst the top is now slowly being taken over to my pewter collection. We just love old things (including each other). As for the table, it's a refectory style table made of yew wood. Colour [yes, I'm in UK] changes with the light. Early 19th century but precise age is not known but it is gorgeous
Re the web site, I had a look and whilst there's not a lot on there, at least it gives the dates, which is what I wanted, so thanks for that. Strangley, the person I got it from says she got it in 2004, before the dates given. I'll check with her 'cause she must surely be mistaken
