Help-Signature on Painting ?

Here's a piece we've had for years and dang if I can find who painted it.It looks like gouache & pencil (or litho crayon) on board.It's signed 'MATT MATT 59'. Not even the hint of a label on the back,that's about all I can say about it.Thanks for the help.
PS-Now that I look at Pic#3 (Signature),the paper looks to have a kind of handmade rice paper feel,but could be the water-base pigment warping the surface a bit.

It's a fun 50's piece & not a bad bit of gestural life drawing.

 

Think you might be on the right track with your first take on signature, Matt. Few artists with that surname come up.Anna Matt has some similar work but not in that time frame.But I would think it's a more likely surname.
