Book of Hour from Medieval Europe?

    Dear all,

    Below is a page I acquired couple of year back in US.

    From the vendor, it's said to be a page from a Monastic Breviary, ca 1300. (original manuscript on vellum). He think it's probably from north Italy.

    Someone told me it's probably "book of hours", a type of popular religious book for ordinary people to pray on time daily.

    I am quite curious to know what type of language it is written, and if it's possible to decipher/translate. Some friends who know French can pick up a couple of words but not all.

    I appreciate any help/information given! thanks!

    It's in Latin, but the font being used is probably what is making it difficult to ID.

    Reading medieval Latin is a specialized skill, requiring familiarity with the style of calligraphy and a knowledge of the abbreviations that were frequently used.
