Thanks everyone I kinda like the idea he was made with Vitarka mudra on both hands as possible mistake , I carry this buddaha around in my pocket and when I'm Feeling stressed or need to think out comes the buddaha and this brush an off I go , it helps me focas I suppose , so I thought I find some information about him ,it would be rude not too lol

    Each hand has a different mudra.;) Vitarka mudra with one hand, Bhumiparsha mudra with the other.

    Just a tiny bit, but as Phaik Hooi told me, even a tiny bit means Peranakan. Or maybe she was just roping me into the group of Peranakan members, which basically comprises of her, Shangas, and now you.:) And a tiny bit of me, I suppose.

    I have too many ethnicities in my ancestry to remember, both European and Asian. For centuries everyone in the family seemed to marry someone of a different nationality or ethnicity, and they still do.:D

    Just one last thing ......, how do you know when and how these are made ?
    How can u tell the approx decade ECT is it just the colour of rust ? How should the bottom look ? Is it the decoration on statue or robes , or combination of all ?
    Sorry that's not 1 thing ,
    I'm just curious now

    it based on experience vicky,you need to see a lot before your eyes get used to the specific date or age,if you really into the antiques,museum or the collections of the antiques collector i think is the good place to learn,:angelic:
