    Hi all,

I wondered what you guys thought of this. Is it professional work, in your opinion?

On the back it has a Los Angeles address.

It looks like E.O Hebert? But there’s nothing online I can see under that name.

    thanks in advance.

I cannot guess if it is "professional work" but in my own opinion, it's not a great painting of the rear and the rump of a matador. So my short response would be no.

The layering of texture looks not well done. I have not looked up the artist's name.

TIP: When the hands are hidden in a painting, it's likely because HANDS are a little more difficult to paint.

    A factory painting, I'd think.

You've probably already done the research but just in case... Those old telephone exchanges were phased out in LA between 1958 and 1963.

You know... You might as well take that out of the frame and see what else you find. Wouldn't hurt value. And, at second glance, do think amateur. Subject typical of Mexican factory paintings but I'd expect a bit more finesse.

That's what I'd think. Is there a number for O. Herbert on Via de la Paz?
