Still cleaning out boxes of old stuff. An this old jar has always fascinated me. But the rim is strange I have never seen one without a safety rim. Although I am not a collector so maybe it's more common than I thought. Any thoughts ??

Is the jar a pint or quart? need a better pic of the a in ball also one of the base. Probably dates from the 1890's and If its what I think it is it will be # 253 in the "Red Book" listed as 8-10 bucks

Thank you for the help. The logo is the one they used in the 1890's the simple Ball underlined. From what I have seen the ones shown as #253 after a different shape. I went ahead an listed it. It will either sell or not who knows. But if it doesn't I am okay with that. I always liked it anyways I will just set back on the shelf in the spare room. I promised hubby I would try an get rid of stuff if it doesn't sell it's not my fault at least I tried LOL
