    Gorgeous, elephant ivory, and I also think parasol finial is likely.

    Technique- and stylewise it could have been carved in Dieppe or in the Netherlands, two important western ivory carving centres. I have seen Dutch ivory lily of the valley carvings before, but that doesn't mean it can't be Dieppe.
