    It's ~8 3/8" diameter, ~13 oz.
I can't decide if the monogram is 2 letters, or 3.
On the back, the banner immediately under England will not yield its contents to my eyes; Harvard may be the pattern name, but that's just a guess. What does the RN114320 mean?
This was privy-dug near here (south of Port Townsend, Washington); when I got it, fresh from the dig, it was heavily soiled, which took a 2-day soak in sodium percarbonate to remove.
I'm surprised an' pleased that it's in such reasonable condition.
What can y'all tell me? Thanks for lookin'!

RN is for Registration Number - the number assigned when the design has been registered (like a patent.) the #114320 was recorded in 1888. And yes, Harvard is the pattern name.

Nope! But living here I've been fortunate to have acquaintance with several...a few of whom are now food for worms themselves, having lived into their mid 90's. This plate came from somewhere between Chimacum an' Quilcene. The digger, dear friend though he is, wouldn't narrow it down any closer than that. You know how they are, these privy-divers!

Ah! The mark was so blurry, I couldn't read it.

I'm still hopeful for a clue about the monogram. I am not convinced that it is only 2 letters...there seems to be too much fuss with the 'P' horizontals...BICBW.

Agreed, sis...You seem to have noted the way the lower bar of the P crosses over the vertical; my sense of the horizontal strokes in that P, in their somewhat exaggerated length, suggest or hint at something further.
It is also quite possible that I'm over-thinking this...it wouldn't be the first time!

Just throwing in a vote for just the 2 letters! SP or PS are a good combo for resale, lots of Peter Smiths and Sally Porters out there... ;)
