    Hmmm...I've opened many an oyster, not always using traditional knives. Looking hard at these I find them unfit for that purpose, but wdik...

    I've seen a Tupperware item, somewhat similar, for use in peeling oranges or other citrus; punch through the skin, run it around between the skin and the flesh.....but WDIK.

    they had to be made that nice for a special purpose.......
    we just gotta keep at it ......
    I'd like to see more of the form fitting box !!!!!

    Ok, I showed them to one of my sons and he said that they were used to open up crab legs. Sounds reasonable to me.

    Nah...too big for Dungeness.
    Maybe King, or Snow...but still a reach.

    Could they possibly be fancy knife rests? I can't see the bottom of the center but it looks flat enough to stand with other side down. I don't know.

    That vid says they are tailors' irons.
