Yes friend Whit,I was wondering if Rick had parts to a basket case early wax cylinder model.Anything later t'would likely be of no consequence.

The case top was in good shape, but it was all that was left of a parts machine I got for nothing. The end caps are solid oak on Edisons. I used to collect them, sold most of everything, just kept a few of the best. 2a.jpg 2b.jpg 2c.jpg

Nice machines ! What's it like picking in Chicago ? I found it to be a beautiful town (we were in a nice neighborhood).

You're probably a youth. Mine was inna Fall of '68, after ~15 years of youthful addiction; 2 1/2 packs of Marlboro's daily.
The regret mentioned above is that I started inna first place...an' then that I didn't get smart about it sooner. COPD is beginning to seriously erode my stamina. Life inna fast lane...indeed!

I never smoked with the exception of my mother giving me a try of her Kent ciggie. Don't ask me why she did that. I thought it was putrid. Give me candy ciggies and that works for me.
I always thought that smoking looked cool but had no desire to do it.

Cigarette smoke turns me green. Cigar smoke does the same only faster. I watched me next door neighbor die slowly from emphysema as a kid (WWII Blitz survivor - bombs missed, tobacco companies didn't) which pretty well killed any desire I'd ever have to smoke.

It is on my wish list. From what I read, it was made approximately 1907 in Switzerland by Chevob & Co.

I guess it will go up on ebay at some point. Every time I buy something. I have to get rid of something else. Its a sickness, so I have been getting rid of some stuff so I can by more.

One thing I've learned is that I should really keep a few things for myself. I only started doing that in the last couple years.
