Artist's monogram on an oil painting

    This painting looks relatively new, no more than 20 years old. The signature is unknown. I searched for a long time. I found a painting with the same plot but with different details. Schiffe in Venedig von H.L. Schmidt - Öl auf Leinwand – 1990
    Does anyone know anything about this monogram. It looks like a double R.

    Sorry to say that your images of the painting are too small to be useful in interpreting the monogram.
