    Was looking at Martlets and found this!
    Needs more checking of course but no T for Tristram on the goblet.

    I'm not good ar Fairbairn's and I think it helps to have a name to work from rather than the other way round.

    The written description of one of the Tristram crests does sound right but then it refers you a plate that looks different and the names for that plate don't match Tristram.

    I have no idea.

    It is confusing, wings addorsed means raised, number 14 example has folded wings and is above a coronet not on the chapeau.
    I had a look in the 1905 edition and couldn’t find the picture.

    wow, thanks @Houseful and @say_it_slowly for all the replies with information, it is much appreciated:)

    The warm weather has arrived here, I'm going to put this piece away for a bit as I've got lots of work to do outside.

    lol, totally agree Houseful, my head is spinning:)

    I found the same for the name of Hanson, no idea what that means:)
