Hey all! I was on the verge of impulse buying this earlier but wanted to consult with you all before! It is $770... It fits me perfectly at a 7 inch wrist size. It weighs 11.72 grams, $425 scrap and .2ctw diamonds. I have never seen a bracelet like this with the oval links. I would think definitely 1920s. I am hesitant to purchase it as I am saving for multiple vacations but I wonder if I will find another like it that fits well... What do you all think?

It's a handsome bracelet, but, as komo points out, how much are you going to have the enjoyment of wearing it? Finding something that fits shouldn't be a problem; 7" is the standard size for a woman's bracelet these days. Antique might be another story.

One way to look at it, if you wear it 7 days/week, that's $110/wearing for the first week; $55 per after the second; and so on.

What cut does the diamond have? It is not constructed the way most pieces of the 1920's would have been made,it appears to have been cast and not die stamped.

Hate to say it, but I think it looks "funny". The rectangular connector bits look original but the oval links and their connectors look wrong. I think someone took early 20s parts and made a more "modern" bracelet out of them. The filigree bracelet should be all filigree panels. I think someone wanted a longer bracelet, or had one break and decided to get a redesign and didn't want to use jade or chrysoprase.

Funny you mention that because the pieces holding the rings to the filigree part are just little strips of metal with a design that doesn't match the rest of the bracelet and is soldered weirdly to keep it in place... I tried taking a photo but the lighting was terrible.

If the gold weight is there, or it's loaded with 1 karat diamonds then $750 is fine. I'd pay maybe $10 at a yard sale, but I'm a cheapskate.
