Is it art deco vase?

There was something special about this vase when I saw it though the condition is not perfect. It looks to me like art deco but cannot identify the signature and overall style. What are you thoughts about the author and possible date?

 

I see no Deco here.....70's studio pottery I'd think...

where did u find it.......sometimes these things don't travel far from where they were made....

 

it was a flea market in Poland. I would not be surprised about 70s too

 

I like the style. Could it also be a jar, missing the lid or stopper?

I can't read the signature, nor even tell which direction is up.

 

could you brush the signature with cinnamon or do a pencil/crayon rubbing to lift it?

So, whatever I see on the bottom may not be in English anyway, and I thought I could see a 5 and a 6 where shown, but that's all I could pick out and try to highlight......BUT I love the jar and colors on it!!!
