Vase with signed hand painted picture. Need help

    thanks for help. I changed album to public. Can you see pictures now? I tried to download pictures in post, but they are all rotated and I can’t rotate them in correct position :(

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    The painter's signature looks like F. Hughes. May have been somebody employed by a studio, but also could have possibly been a very talented amateur?

    I can't quite make out the writing on the bottom. What do you think it says?

    I see F. Hughes too, But the thing that struck me about the decoration at first was that it looks Japanese. The part with the swans in particular. Obviously Hughes is not a Japanese name.

    As for me, the same - F. Hughes. Common English surname.
    I add few pictures with better contrast of colors. Now it’s easy to read. I can see the S W/C or WLC and 21.

    In hands, and based on colors, it’s more looks like English vase, or even French/German. It’s nice made one. And interesting thing, that flowers from the other side just a transparent image, but good quality.

    Also, I had a look to all my catalogs, nothing similar. But I don’t have all information about all makers.
