Two little pots, Chinese? Modern? Studio Pottery?

I have just acquired two little hand painted pots, showing dragonflies (I think) and a leafy plant, possibly a type of fern. They are about 2.3 ins high and about 2.5ins in diameter. I thought they might be Chinese but my posting on a Chinese art forum had no response; perhaps they are too modern for their attention. Maybe they aren't Chinese at all. The colour palette is not familiar to me from any country! I don't know what use they were intended for, they're too big for egg cups but too thick and small for beakers, perhaps too shallow for brush pots. All I know is I like them! Any ideas or comments welcome. dragonfly - 1.jpeg dragonfly - 3.jpeg dragonfly - 5.jpeg

Thank you, that's exactly the same. I wish I could tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese, I often seem to get it wrong! Sake cups make sense, I must give them a try, maybe with a liqueur.
