Custom Painted Designer Baker Furniture Piece

Custom painted Baker table...70s. Any ideas on the designer?
I know they did one-offs but I can't find anything close.

 

Faux tortoise. Kinda fab in an over the top way.

I don't see him associated with that particular design. And it doesn't really look like his sensibility.

It's in the portrait on that page. also found a similar piece. His paint job on a Baker piece.

Table was originally part of their "Far East" collection. Here's one from a 1974 catalog. It was later part of their "Collector's Edition" line that apparently had some newer, bolder finishes. Lots of sellers attribute Far East pieces to Michael Taylor but I've never seen a reference that shows which pieces he designed.

 

Interesting. Doesn't look like Michael Taylor and his "California look" though.
