Interesting bell

    Hello again. I have come up against a bell I can't find info about. It's pretty heavy think glass with molder brass handle. If anyone has any ideas where I can look for info, it would be appreciates. 20230703_093219.jpg 20230703_093234.jpg

    Looks like slag glass. The quality of the casting on the handle is not great. Check with a magnet to see if it sticks. It could be brass or spelter/pot metal, but if the magnet sticks, it will be some type of ferromagnetic metal.

    Looks like Akro Agate, to me...an' could very well be a home-made 'marriage' of odds & ends. Is the glass UV reactive?
    The color an' 'pattern' of the glass are identical to several pieces of Akro lamp/smoking stand I have. Pics on demand.

    Looks like a lot of decorative stuff from the 70s. I had a candlestick with the same basic materials in this rather florid style
