I recently bought this turquoise ring at the scrapper for $5 and loved the stone. Unfortunately I need to size it down in order to wear it. However, I haven't really seen turquoise in this shade of color before... I think it may be Stenich? I will provide a photo for comparison. Also the maker's mark is probably unidentifiable but it never hurts to ask if anyone knows of whom it may be? Thanks again!

I believe that might be Damele (sometimes spelled Damale) Which is technically variscite, not turquoise.
A very popular stone in NA jewelry.

I love it! It looks like Navajo work.
    Here are samples of Damele:

    Here is some high grade:

Is damele its own mineral? Or a term for green turquoise in matrix? Had not heard of it before & my older mineral guide does not know it. Whatever it is, have to say I like it better than unveined sky blue turquoise.

I'm thinking it may also be Carico Lake

Looks like the ring was poorly made by a beginner hobbyist/student.

Love this piece. I’d wear it in a minute. I come from the school that turquoise cannot be identified without knowing the specific maker and if they worked with a specific mine. Personally I wouldn’t bother sizing it. I don’t usually size my own pieces as I hate popping stones and I’ve had issues with laser sizing. I just put sizing guards on NA rings.
