I thought watercolour? Couldn’t find other prints of the image and the date 1951 so the artist was still alive. It’s 36cm x 24cm. The foxing is a problem

    Thank you for any comments

A nice sized and ambitious picture. Can't tell from the photos whether it is original paint or not, but I think the foxing supports the notion. Looks a bit faded to me, like maybe the colors have shifted a bit to the blue/green side.

Well read as "Lamorna." (I saw "Laurence.") Interesting artist. Almost self-taught but exhibited at the RA. Given foxing, I'd think original as well.

Yes,maybe a little faded. Still a good little find if original. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Debora.Yes,an interesting persons it seems. And he apparently produced thousands of paintings working in both oil and watercolour. He’s oil paintings also sell for good money. Will need to take to a conservator for the foxing.

You should be able to identify the location too (which might add value.)

Hi, I have the same painting with the same signature and year, bought it online so I'm not sure whether it's printed or authentic, have you figured out whether yours is authentic? Existance of two of the exact painting gives me print vibes, at least for mine but I do hope both are original.

It had glass protection and this old frame, it was somewhat sealed, the paper does seem like watercolor paper but maybe they can print on watercolor paper as well, I soo wish that it’s authentic, like a little adventure, like it was meant to find me:) But I’m not sure, actually I believe it’s print.
