I have this gorgeous gas parlor lamp. Oak leaves, acorn counterbalance, lovely ornate brass work, prisms galore. Wondering how much it might be worth? also if there's a name for the brass pattern? It's not Larkin, but I was once told it had a name. It really is in excellent condition. Also anyone the stamp reads PAT 16, 86 on it. Any idea what that means? 1886? 00K0K_1qcinA1tlO2_1200x900.jpg

    you mean oil lamp.......
if u put gas in it............................... BOOM !!!!

The date is likely the patent date ...not the manufacture date..

Seems odd for a Patent date to be missing the month.

Is that date on the burner? I think it is the Patent for the burner only.

It's appearance seems art-deco except for the shade which seems newer to me. Around here in central Iowa you might get $250 on a good day.

Is it possible this is a combination of unrelated pieces? The bell doesn't seem original, and the prisms look like they were possibly added, but please wait for others.

I think value would be less where I live (urban area). About the only thing selling here is 60s/70s modernist.

Definitely a unique piece, though! :)

I'm talking about the stamp. My Mom has many and they all have stamps like Edward Miller, Bradley and Hubbard etc

No most lamps don’t have makers marks on them. I agree it looks somewhat of a marriage of several things. Without seeing it up close I really should not have speculated a value.
