mammoth cranberry globe

yikes - this is larger than any shade I have ever encountered - it is 10 1/4" TALL - it is 9" in diameter! one opening is 5 5/8" and the other opening is 4 1/2" - i tried to halfheartedly research it and came up with nothing - while similar globes can be found on hurricane / gone with the wind lamps - they are also found on oil / kerosene lamps - but none have been this large - I honestly don't even know which end is the top - the one that is ruffled ? this thing is MASSIVE - and it doesn't seem to match anything under the "fenton cranberry coin dot" genre - I think it may be earlier than that? I am confuzzled...

I would guess you have the bottom piece. It may not be this exact model - there were many shapes and sizes and configurations over the years. If I can find my Fenton book which shows these, I'll take a look.
