Antique Wood Carved Mirror

    Hi all, I'm wondering how antique this small mirror is? Its not large, about the size of my hand (not the best unit of measurement I know :hilarious:). The mirror looks double paned if that's a thing? Like there's a layer of glass above the mirror.

    I think it's Antique for purposes of US Customs regulations - call it 1910-1920. Not old by Antiquers standards, but really ancient if you're a GenZ person who collects 1990s plastic toys.

    Thank you! Ah well, it was 50 cents and will look mighty nice on the gallery wall I'm collecting for.

    These are more typically gesso rather than hand carved.

    I agree with Debora, this isn't carved wood it's moulded gesso or hard wax. You can see the fracture lines running from outer edge to the mirror, if it were wood the grain of the frame would run length ways around the frame.

    Antique, but as the others said, moulded gesso or some such.
