Was this mirror made?

It has gold paint on the front which is different to the paint on the back the original paint was more of a brown but not a complete brown that had a little bit of kind of gold Tone.
I get the feeling that the repaint is not that recent I feel the repaint is at least 50 years old.
When do you think the mirror itself was made?
Probably not the original glass as the glass seems like it's in quite perfect condition.

 

from the rear...
the unfinished wood block..flathead nails....and paneling board.....may only be 50 years old.....
but the furniture guys will know better...

 

I think it might be from the '20s or '30s, just because the added on decorative elements look to be hand formed (not carved, but cast or pressed).

 

My guess was that too.
Just because of the look of the timber at the back but also that kind of colour of brown sort of gold paint. I didn't feel it was Victorian or earlier but I didn't get a post war feeling about it when I saw the back and the original color
