Featured Antique andirons help

    With metals I always check the base or the feet for natural wear. (I blame my metallurgist father.;))
    The feet on your andirons show wear, but not wear that is consistent with 19th century andirons. My guess would be 1950s or so.

    I have 3 fireplaces and one has an insert so I do use mine. However, I had some for sale in my antique store for 5 years at a reasonable price. I am going to scrap them at this point. There are not a lot of good repurpose ideas out there .This one I might do with my heavy wrought iron ones..
