Can anybody ID these hallmarks please?

    Hi there.

    I've acquired what looks to be a gold chain (could be wrong)..... but I can't quite make out the hallmarks!!

    Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Second one looks like '9'. If it's English/British, then that would be 9-carat gold. I think it was a custom there to just strike the number onto gold, back then.

    For example, I have antique gold rings, which just have "15" stamped on them, or "18". Not "15k" just "15" - because everybody KNEW it was "karat" so they left off the K or the C. I believe the same thing was done for 9kt gold. A similar thing was done with gold pocketwatch cases (again, they'd just have the number) so I'm GUESSING that's the same here.
