Lithograph - 1890's Advertisement for Wiedemann Brewery Newport, KY

So, I already have one of these lithographs that I paid up for at an estate auction a few years ago in my collection/hoard. This one I got today, and it must have been overlooked by the bidders (or I overpaid previously) as I got it for a small fraction of the price paid on the first one.

The litho was done by the Strobridge Company which was a prominent Cincinnati based producer of advertising, trade cards, and lithos.

It is a 1890's advertisement for the (now defunct) Wiedemann Brewery of Newport, KY which was one of the more successful of the area breweries and at one time had a massive complex of buildings in Newport which housed their operations.

Wiedemann has a lot of advertising pieces out there that are popular with breweriana collectors.

 

Nice! Anything older and beer related these days seems to have terrific resale where I live.
