Featured Cute little metal filigree brooch

I bought this at an estate sale. I see a lot of them online but I couldn't find this one. I tried to get some light on the numbers on the back of it. Just need a little information even if it is only worth the dollar I spent on it.

 

Looks like an Italian silver mark and 800, i.e. the silver fineness.

It is worth more than the dollar you spent on it, but there are many like it. Silver filigree butterfly brooches were not just made in Italy, but also in Portugal, Indonesia and China. Probably other countries too.

 

That poor puppy needs silver polish. Try one of the foaming polishes light Wright’s Silver Cream with a soft tooth brush ​

For a second I thought it was Berlin iron.

 

Same here, until I saw that Italian silver mark on the back. I'd leave it alone, but the tarnish would rub off on clothing.
