Antique menu blanks? Stationery?

    Bev, I was wondering that, too.

    I took them out of the portfolio holding them today, and realized they're card stock weight or even slightly heavier. The backs are blank, and the rough edges look like they were torn paper.

    From what I've now read, single sheet menus on card-weight paper became popular around when these probably were printed, in particular for special events. Apparently menus in that era were printed with the various types of images that were common at the time.

    So... although I didn't see other examples like mine, I'm thinking there's a good chance these were meant to be used for menus.
