Featured Thoughts on age of this French brooch

    Hi everyone,

    I bought this brooch on holiday in France earlier this year and I just wondered how old it might be? I can tell it has some age due to the back of it but I am not certain exactly how old it is, early twentieth century or is it older? Also would you call this gilded?

    I haven't found any makers marks on this unfortunately but if anyone has any further information about this piece, then all thoughts welcome.

    Late nineteenth into early twentieth, gilded brass.
