Featured Painted terrier horseshoe brooch

Another brooch from my lot, I've found quite a few different styles with a similar terrier painting but most of them are precious metal and mine is costume with rhinestones. Found one exactly like it which was part of a sold auction lot, so no info.

Just wanting to know the age of it? The ones similar I've found have been attributed various ages which doesn't help much. I think it's 20s to 30s but am not particularly confident on dating stuff and would value your opinions.

The dogs eye is not visible on a white background but he does have one!

 

I’d say between the wars, the back and style.

The dog is carved into the back, then painted. It's not cold enough to be quartz or glass, perhaps lucite/bakelite?
