Thrifting Bronze and Spelter

Welcome Wheeble ! By 'Thrifting',do you mean you found these in Goodwill or Savers or an antique store ? What part of the world are you in ?
PS-The Violinist looks newer,the other two maybe period.

 

Manon was sourced at an antique consignment store Bellingham, Washington. She was in a bad way. the base was rusted all around the mounting point and the nut had been tightened to where the screw broke through the sculpture. I made hones repairs and cleaned her up. paid $36 the other two were sourced at an Art consignment store in Whitefish Montana. The Moreau boy was a filthy mess and cleaned up well. Musicienne had been left at the store for a few years after an initial price of $2600. The price dropped to $1000, then $600, I offered $400 and was surprised to get it. All three pieces are signed and have appropriate French foundry marks. I scour thrifts, GW, Savers and art/antique consignments for quality pieces.

 

You did well, Wheeble. Nice collection and lovingly cleaned and restored.
