This is part of a bunch of stuff I bought while on a trip to SE Asia recently. I was told it was silver, but honestly I have my doubts. They ARE made of silver, but whether this one is, is up for debate. I'm planning to get it tested, although I suspect it's just nickel...

Keyholders like these were clipped to the wearer's belt, and the keys would hang from the ring, usually from an attached keychain in a matching metal.

The work on the face looks like it may be repousse, an' if so it could be on thin stock soldered to a thicker alloy that would support the temper necessary for the clip to retain its springiness.
