Featured Huge Bretby vase thing

I saw this on the market stall last Sunday. I was tempted to get it but I think I'd already over spent and was over laden. The Rgd number checked out as Bretby which it certainly looks like. It's prob about 50cm tall and in very good condition. Half tempted to grab it tomorrow if it's still there and he hasn't knocked lumps out of it

 

I'd say it needs rescuing, poor thing.

 

If not too much $$$, I'd pick it up!

I don't think you missed anything. This type of Bretby ware is very much out of fashion here in England at the moment and can be bought for a few pounds. This one looks repaired too.

 

Okay. Prices from Google seemed good but not on eBay sold items. Bit of a mare posting too. Plenty of scope for royal mail to smash it up.

 

Only ever look at sold prices. I sold a George Jones spoon recently for about £30 which was okay but a couple come up on Google for about £500!
