Featured What kind of wood am I ?

    Hi all. Snagged this at Ill will on 40% day . Its wood,and rather heavy,and I cant decide if the finish is original and if I hate it or not ! Maybe a good cleaning. Its 40 inches high. Any input is appreciated .

    Think this is an Indonesian plantation hardwood. Finish could be original.

    I thought newish import but I decided I like the finish after all . Its perfect for a plant or statue. Very level.

    If I have my way I’ll have a long hall lined with fun stands/pedestals someday. All with busts or statues or plants. I am a huge sucker for a good pedestal. I buy them any time I can get them cheap enough.

    Sounds admirable to me-I'm putting you both on a pedestal.Just don't get too big a heads (or yr pedestals will fall over !).
