Old Tupton Ware is still made, it’s fairly modern giftware. I like it: designs are good and it’s well made. I often like it better than some modern moorcroft, which it emulates.

Moorcroft. It wants to be tube-lined and Moorcroft is famous for tube-lined flowers.

An invalid feeder,not my usual fare but struck me as poignant

 

Pap boats are actually not the worst thing to find; they kept someone alive. Bedpans not so much.

My find of the day was surprisingly in the Ill Will that normally doesn't stock on Saturdays. Today they did since tomorrow may be a snow day. I scored a framed sheet of Forever stamps. The frame was still in shrinkwrap. I paid $8 for a sheet of 20 stamps; I think they're $13.60 in the Post Office now, so...Christmas card stamps for next year and can reuse the frame. The matte, oddly enough, they cheaped out on - high acid. Into the can it goes.

 

I went to an estate sale 2 years ago that had a collection of about 100 invalid feeders

 

maybe he just needed to use the toilet......... old school !!!

I know someone who collects them. At least they know what they are, I hate when someone asks for help IDing their single-handled soup tureen

 

specially if they think it's for onion soup !!

 

Every time I see the invalid thing, I have to say it right, right after I say it wrong.
I say it like it is incorrect... invalid.
