Help identify the necklace

    I would like some help identifying this necklace
    Modern or vintage?
    The clasp looks like vintage. There are pretty glass beads and obscure big plastic beads

    funny how that clasp is either not original....
    or , it's missing a whole string of beads..!

    I was going to say the same thing...
    It looks like an old clasp that someone re-used. You can see that it originally held a double-strung necklace, though one of the connecting loops on the clasp is broken off.

    Either a whole string of beads is missing, or the necklace is a remix made of beads salvaged from other pieces. I'd bet on a missing strand. Some of them look like Japanese lampwork and the rest looks like a Japanese 50s costume necklace.
