    Hi!
My partner has this statue that he found I wanted to learn more about it. It measures 24 inches in height and is made out of a lighter wooden material.
I was wondering what country it appears to be from (at least stylistically I have no idea if it is authentic or not) and if it is of any notable figures. I’ve tried looking online but have struggled to find similar items, so any help is appreciated! IMG_0249.jpeg

Based on the way the face is made, my best guess is that it was carved in Ghana, where there is an active craft industry making "tribal" carvings for export. They often combine features from various traditional cultures as well as non-traditional forms.
